RFQ checklist for dog bed quotes

A request for quote that leaves out key fields is returned with questions or with an unusable price. Use this list before you send one.

Product

  1. Product line and model or reference photo.
  2. Sizes required, with target dimensions in inches.
  3. Cover fabric: fiber, weight if known, and color.
  4. Fill type and fill weight if you have a target.
  5. Cover removable or not, and the care method you want on the label.

Commercial

  1. Quantity per size and per color.
  2. Whether you will reorder, and an estimate of annual quantity.
  3. Target price range, if you have one.
  4. Incoterm: EXW, FOB, or delivered, and the destination port or address.
  5. Payment terms you propose.

Branding and packing

  1. Labels, hang tags, and cartons required.
  2. Packing method: flat, rolled, or vacuum packed.
  3. Carton marks and barcode requirements.
  4. Language for the care label and the fiber content label.

Compliance and documents

  1. Destination market and any retailer requirements.
  2. Test reports you need, named by the test or standard.
  3. Whether the product is electrical. If it is, tell us at the start, because documents are required before listing.
  4. Inspection requirement: self-inspection by the supplier, or third party.

Timing

  1. Required date for goods at your warehouse.
  2. Sample needed by date.
  3. Season or event the order is meant for.

Send what you have. Fields you have not yet decided can be marked open, and we will quote options. A request with open fields is better than a request that sits while you decide.
