Production process
Eight stages from brief to dispatch, with the check made at each stage.
Production flow
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| 01 Brief | Product line, quantity range, target market, and any custom options are written down and confirmed. |
| 02 Sample | The partner makes a sample to your specification. Measurements and materials are recorded. |
| 03 Spec sign-off | Dimensions, fabric, fill, packing, and labels are signed off in writing against the sample. |
| 04 Materials | Fabric and fill arrive and are checked against the test reports and the lot record. |
| 05 Cutting and sewing | Pattern pieces are cut to the approved template. Seams and bolsters are checked at each stage. |
| 06 Filling and assembly | Fill is weighed or measured to the specification. Covers and zippers are fitted and tested. |
| 07 Final inspection | A sample from the batch is inspected against the agreed sampling plan. Failures are recorded. |
| 08 Packing and dispatch | Cartons are marked to the order. Packing is checked before the goods leave the partner. |
Where changes usually happen
Most order problems come from three points: a sample that was approved without a written spec, a material lot that differs from the test, and packing that was not confirmed before production. The flow above is designed to close each of these gaps before the batch is made.
