Use conditions
Shelter beds are used by many dogs, often dogs under stress, and are cleaned frequently. The bed must stand up to chewing attempts, accidents, and disinfecting. Soft, high-loft beds can be a poor fit for these conditions.
Typical choices
- Elevated cots, which allow airflow, are easy to hose down, and have no fill to soak.
- Flat mats and wipe-clean pads with a coated cover.
- Replacement covers to rotate through the laundry.
- Simple bolster beds with removable covers for dogs staying longer.
Procurement notes
Many organizations buy through a grant, a donation drive, or a local fund, and often need a pro forma invoice and a clear quotation. We can issue a written quote with line items and terms. We do not offer charitable pricing as a standard; it is a commercial decision for each supplier, and we state clearly that it is subject to the supplier's agreement.
Decide on the sizes needed before you request a quote. A mixed order across many sizes costs more than a few sizes in larger quantities.
Care and replacement
Ask for a care instruction that suits your cleaning routine, and ask whether spare parts such as covers and cot fabric are sold separately. A cot with a replaceable fabric stays in service much longer than a cot that is thrown away when the fabric fails.
